Lionel has done it again. This is the large size; G-gauge Polar Express. The train itself is plastic, but very well constructed. Able to go forward and backward. The set included bonus diorama with a scene from the movie.If you want new decoration for Christmas this year, it’s not bad to put this train around Christmas Tree. It appropriated for child age up to 8 yrs. Because it is easy to put on track and stays there, the train is not really too fast, but just fast enough.
The remote control is very easy to use and the sound is pleasant. Not really loud like some sound effects on train sets, but loud enough to hear. The battery life is about 2 days, The train works very well with rechargeable battery, too.
This set has the disappearing hobo, the little boy and the conductor. It also comes with “the first gift of Christmas; the bell”. Children can imagine like he’s in the movie “Polar Express”. They will love this train set that was on the movie they’re watching!!
